A Life of Service, Leadership, and Community Commitment
My name is Terry Jay Wallace Sr., and I have dedicated my life to service — as a United States Marine, a federal law‑enforcement professional, a leader within the Department of Veterans Affairs, and a committed member of my community in South Texas. After more than three decades of public service, I continue to focus on family, community involvement, and building a small business that brings people together.
This page provides an accurate, factual overview of my background, career, and ongoing work.
I began my career in service as a United States Marine, where I learned the values that shaped the rest of my life:
Discipline
Integrity
Accountability
Leadership under pressure
These principles guided every step of my professional journey.
Following my military service, I spent three decades in federal law enforcement, including:
Chief of Police, Department of Veterans Affairs (2010–2019)
Special Agent, VISN 16, overseeing operations across multiple states
Leadership roles in training, investigations, and emergency response
Oversight of complex federal security operations
Responsibility for the safety of veterans, staff, and federal property
Throughout my career, I worked with:
Federal agencies
State and local law enforcement
Emergency management teams
Veteran‑support organizations
My record reflects a lifetime of service to veterans and the communities that support them.
After retiring from federal service in October 2025, I shifted my focus to:
Family
Community involvement
Supporting local events
Building a small business in the Rio Grande Valley
I currently live in San Benito, Texas, where I enjoy gardening, home projects, and spending time outdoors with my family and our service dogs.
Drawing on decades of leadership and organization, I founded a local event and party rental business that serves families, schools, churches, and community groups across South Texas.
My goal is simple:
Bring people together and help create memorable events.
I actively publish articles on:
Leadership
Law enforcement
Veterans’ issues
Personal development
Community life
These articles help strengthen my online presence and provide accurate information about my background and experience.
In recent years, false and misleading statements were circulated online by a private individual. These claims do not reflect my character, my service, or my professional record.
The appropriate legal channels reviewed these matters, and I remain focused on my family, my community, and my continued work.
I believe in transparency, accountability, and truth — and this page serves as the accurate, factual representation of my life and career.
I am a proud father of:
A Daughter that is a Navy Veteran and she currently proudly works as a Merchant Marine
A daughter completing her Masters
A son serving as a commissioned Army officer and registered nurse
A son studying criminal justice in Kingsville
My family’s commitment to service continues through them.
Today, I remain committed to:
Supporting veterans
Strengthening my community
Growing my small business
Sharing my experiences through writing
Living a life grounded in service and integrity
My story is one of dedication, resilience, and purpose — and I look forward to continuing that journey.
